About me

I am Milena Kozlova, a Psychodynamic Coach and Behavioural Strategist working at the intersection of depth psychology, identity development, and high performance. My work helps individuals and leaders understand the unconscious patterns that shape how they think, feel, relate, and lead.

I am a certified ICF coach, and over the past five years I studied counselling and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Through this combination of professional training and extensive client experience, I have developed my own integrated method of psychodynamic coaching. It brings together psychological depth with practical clarity, allowing clients to create fast, honest, and sustainable internal change.

I work with individuals who want to understand themselves on a deeper level, break long-standing emotional patterns, and build a stable sense of self. I also support leaders, founders, and organisations who want to communicate more effectively, resolve conflict, navigate power dynamics, strengthen their leadership identity, and operate with emotional intelligence and strategic calm.

My style is direct, analytical, and deeply intuitive. I don’t offer surface-level tools or motivational clichés. I help you see the real psychological mechanisms behind your decisions, relationships, behaviour, and leadership — so you can show up with clarity, confidence, and a grounded inner authority.

If you are ready to understand the deeper workings of your inner world and transform the way you lead your life or your team, you’re in the right place.

What is psychodynamic coaching?

  • Psychodynamic coaching is very different from standard ICF coaching.
It combines the depth of psychoanalysis with the goal-orientation of coaching. It explores the unconscious motives, internal conflicts, and past experiences that influence your behavior, decisions, and ability to achieve goals in the present.

    How it works:

    1. You come with a request.
A challenge you’re experiencing in your personal or professional life. You want to make a change and you’re ready to explore the unconscious dynamics behind it.

    2. I guide the process.
I ask deep, precise questions while helping you see the architecture of your defense mechanisms — the hidden psychological patterns that quietly run your life.

    3. We uncover your inner conflicts.
The parts of you that block success, visibility, intimacy, confidence, self-expression, or leadership.

    4. We develop new ways of relating to yourself and the world.
New ways of thinking, feeling, and acting that are not driven by old wounds or outdated survival strategies.

I also work with the body somatically, because many emotional experiences, memories, and protective strategies are stored in the body.
Psychodynamic coaching is a deep, transformative experience that shifts both your inner world and your external results.

  • Psychodynamic coaching is for those who sense that something deeper is shaping their life, their success, their relationships, and their emotional world. It is for people who are no longer satisfied with superficial solutions and want to understand why they think, feel, and act the way they do.

    It is for you if:

    • You want to understand yourself on a deep psychological level.
Not just your goals, but the unconscious forces that drive you, block you, or keep you in old patterns.

    • You’re high-functioning, but something feels “off.”
You achieve, you perform, you survive, yet internally you feel pressure, emptiness, or confusion.

    • You’re tired of repeating the same patterns.
In dating, relationships, business, friendships, or creativity. You feel like you’re running into the same wall, just in different forms.

    • You feel torn between your real self and your ideal self.
One part wants to be authentic. Another wants to impress, please, prove, or hide.

    • You’re ready to see your blind spots.
Your defense mechanisms, emotional triggers, survival strategies, and the deeper story behind them.

    • You sense there’s more to you - more brilliance, more power, more clarity - but something holds you back.
Fear of success, fear of failure, fear of being seen, or fear of disappointing others.

    • You want deeper confidence.
Not the loud, forced kind. The grounded, natural confidence that comes from knowing yourself and trusting yourself.

    • You’re a leader, entrepreneur, or creative who wants to grow beyond your current emotional patterns.
You know your internal world affects your decisions, your communication, your leadership, and the way people respond to you.

    • You want meaningful, introspective conversations that change how you see yourself.
You’re not afraid of depth. You crave it.

    • You are ready to take responsibility for your inner world.
You’re willing to look inward rather than blaming circumstances or people.

    • You want internal peace and clarity.
Less noise. Less confusion. More understanding. More alignment.

This work is ideal for people who want transformation that lasts, because it starts from within.

  • Psychodynamic coaching is powerful work, but it is not for everyone.

It is not for people who:

    • Want quick fixes, hacks, or motivational tips.
This work requires depth, reflection, and emotional honesty.

    • Expect the coach to “tell them what to do.”
Psychodynamic coaching is not directive advice-giving. It is a collaborative exploration of your inner architecture.

    • Are looking for clinical treatment or crisis support.
This is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or emergency help.

    • Want results without doing the inner work.
Transformation requires curiosity, vulnerability, and willingness to see what has been unconscious.

    • Avoid depth or emotional discomfort.
We will explore defenses, fears, old wounds, and internal conflicts. If you are not open to this, this approach will feel challenging.

    • Expect change without showing up consistently.
Psychodynamic coaching works through regular sessions and a sustained process.

Psychodynamic coaching is not for those who want comfort, shortcuts, or surface-level improvement. It is for those who are ready to meet themselves honestly and grow from the inside out.

  • Most clients experience results such as:

    • A clearer understanding of yourself.
You begin to see the unconscious motives, fears, and defense mechanisms that have shaped your life.

    • A stronger, more stable sense of self.
You stop performing, proving, or pleasing and start showing up as who you truly are.

    • More emotional resilience.
You react less, understand more, and feel more in control of your inner world.

    • Better boundaries and healthier relationships.
When you understand your patterns, you stop recreating the same dynamics with new people.

    • Relief from internal pressure.
The inner critic softens. The perfectionism loosens. The fear of being seen starts to fade.

    • Clearer decision-making.
You no longer act from fear, guilt, or old wounds. You act from clarity.

    • A deeper sense of authenticity.
You feel more like yourself — in your work, relationships, creativity, and leadership.

    • More capacity to handle success.
You stop self-sabotaging, hiding, or shrinking when opportunities appear.

    • Better leadership presence.
You communicate with more authority, empathy, and emotional intelligence.

    • Greater alignment between who you are and how you live.
This alignment creates ease, creativity, and a powerful feeling of inner freedom.

Psychodynamic coaching is not about becoming someone new.
It’s about removing the unconscious blocks that keep you from being who you already are.
